BILAMINA
Description
BILAMINA insulation is made of a base layer of lead, an excellent acoustic insulator, covered on each side by a layer of ACUSTICELL, an absorbent material made of expanded polyurethane. One of these absorbent covers has a thickness of 6 mm. while the other is made in varying thicknesses of 6, 13, 19 or 25 mm., depending on the model.
The mass and elasticity of lead give this product excellent acoustic qualities, so it is particularly suited as an insulator of air-transmitted noise.
BILAMINA can be made in various thicknesses and special compositions and the absorbent ACUSTICELL layer can be given a protective coating.

This product is an ideal complement to preinstalled panelling when you need a high level of insulation, providing cavity absorbence and an absorbent exterior finish on both faces of expanded polyurethane ACUSTICELL.
Since it is so easy to shape as needed, BILAMINA is recommended to improve insulation of uneven surfaces, and is ideal for coating motor covers and other kinds of container.
Technical characteristics
|
Acoustic insulation:
|
Good insulation of ambient noise at medium and high frequencies. Because it behaves like a double wall, its insulation curve depends on the base wall, with good results always from 250 Hz.
|
|
Absorption:
|
Because absorption depends on the top surface layer and the maximum thickness is 25 mm., absorption is good in general from 250 Hz.

0.019 Kcal/h.m ºC
